Conceptual illustrations featuring the Apple iOS logo

Although there is no official mark for the Apple iOS logo, that didn’t stop me from creating an entire set of conceptual illustrations representing it. I’m nerdy like that, and I like to seize any opportunity I can to jump into my 3d modeling software and whip up some good designs of logos that don’t exist.

Hope you liked those HTC logo renderings I recently uploaded. And if you were wondering, yes, this set of iOS logos was based on that set. I will admit that creating the iOS versions were much easier, as there seems to be a lot more controversy over the tight control that Apple puts on their mobile operating system.

My first set of illustrations

Combining that logo with objects such as handcuffs and chains seemed too darn easy. Why do I always start with the kinky stuff? Well…I’m going to avoid answering that and just get straight into the logo illustrations:

I was a little bit concerned about how this chrome logo would look within my style of rendering. I like to use a lot of metal and gloss (as I did for my full set of Apple logo renderings), so I was hoping that the hard reflection across the front of the iOS logo wouldn’t interfere with the reflections in my 3d renderings.

I guess it didn’t turn out too bad – though I did have to put the logo on a dark gray background (instead of the standard light gray) so that it would stand out more. I think it still holds true to the style that Apple had intended.

My second set of illustrations featuring this logo

Shortly after creating the first set above, I figured that I should probably finish the remaining set of ideas I had floating around in my head. It’s kind of funny because I’m always a bit nervous about doing anything with an Apple-related logo on it, although really, I’m not trying to do anything that shows them in a bad light.

However, knowing how strict they are with their logo usage guidelines, I’m sure that I’m giving them a bit of  heartburn by producing images like these. But I’m a conceptual 3d illustrator, and taking some creative liberties and stretching the rules a bit is just part of my job.

I hope you enjoyed this full set of logo illustrations! Please feel free to use these however you wish, just as long as you give me credit for the image. Thanks, and enjoy!
