Six more Twitter logo Illustrations

The more I think about Twitter and it’s corporate identity, the more puzzled I become. To me, it seems as if the Twitter brand is fragmenting somewhat and I don’t think it’s doing them any good. Today, there are three common objects used to represent the brand: the “t” logo, the “twitter” text logo, and a myriad of publicly created Twitter bird graphics scattered throughout the web. It seems as if the Twitter birds are the most popular amongst those who tweet, yet it’s not something that is commonly used by Twitter itself. Is Twitter losing control over it’s corporate identity? Has the public shunned the official logo(s) and defined a mark of their own? These are just some of the things bouncing around my head at the moment. Anyway, here are the details about this collection of images:

Six additonal free Twitter logo illustrations

As an entrepreneur, I am totally jealous of Twitter. I mean, it is such a simple concept, and it has developed into one of the most popular tools in the history of the internet. Why didn’t I think of that?? Actually, I don’t think my feeble little brain could have come up with such a clever idea – I had no idea that we as a society could be proactive enough to take time our of our busy days to jot down quick status updates for complete strangers to see. Yeah, I admit it…I find it difficult to find just a few minutes a day to update my own twitter account.

Anyway, yes – Twitter is all the rage right now, if it’s Twitter logo’s you need, I’ve got six of them right here for you. The images in this batch convey popular Twitter metaphors such as security, account deletion, and networking.

Tweet! Free vector Twitter bird in .eps format

Ok, I’m not much of a vector artist, but here is a recent illustration I made of a blue Twitter bird holding a mobile phone. You may or not have noticed, but it’s the graphic that I’m using to link to my own Twitter account at the bottom of the far right hand column of this site. It’s in .eps format (Adobe Illustrator CS3) – but let me know if you’d like it saved in a different version.

Six free Twitter logo illustrations

In addition to all those Facebook logo illustrations I have been working on, here is an initial set of six Twitter logo graphics that follow the same format. I’ve taken some liberties with the logo a little, making the logos very metallic – almost medallion-like. They render very nicely that way, with a lot of glossy reflections and massive amounts of bling.

And yes, there are a lot more where these came from, and I’ll be uploading them directly from my archive very soon.
